Charitable hospital - Do you have insurance? Yes. Why did those other waiting people let me go ahead of them? The person right before you had no insurance. Since we will not turn anyone away, I have to bill the next person in line with insurance for that uninsured person, too. Practical hospital - Do you have insurance? No. In that case you have to pay up front before we treat you. We have too many people cheat us. So we require a deposit of $10,000. If your treatment is less you will be reimburse. Cash or credit - but we will check your credit first. Profit hospital - Do you have insurance? No. In that case we will not treat you. You need to go elsewhere. No hospital - You need to go to the hospital. I have no insurance. I can't afford it. There's one down the street who will take you. Then I'm nothing but a parasite.
