John and Jane surveyed their neighborhood. Theirs was the only house standing. The twister was a mile wide - no longer a freak. On the cable, every 15 minutes they saw the ad: "The weather is normal. The storm was just unusual. Reports the finest climatologists. Brought to you by your friendly oil industry." She had dressed her kids in heavy protective clothes. They wanted to play on the beach so much. She finally gave in to them. She sat as they played, listening to her radio: "The ocean and beaches have been thoroughly clean. Reports the government environmental agency. Brought to you by your friendly oil industry."
